Qatar Universityis offering scholarships opportunities for international students. The scholarships program is divided into
The Talent Scholarship and The International Students Scholarship. These scholarships are provided for the Fall 2023 / 2024 academic year
Who is eligible to apply for this scholarship?
- International students with outstanding academic performance (for international students scholarship)
- Applicants with high school certificates or other equivalent level of education
- Students with at least 95% average high school scores (for international students scholarship) or at least 80% (for talent scholarship)
- Applicants that had receive final acceptance in the university (for international students scholarship only)
- Students that meet the admission requirements for the college they are applying to
- Applicants with good reputation (for international students scholarship only)
- Students with talent in scientific research, technology and innovation, literature, art, media, and athleticism proven by a portfolio and recommendation letter based on requirements (only for the talent scholarship)
- Students that have not been receiving another scholarship or sponsorship in the same period of the scholarship (except for talent scholarship international students, with terms and conditions)
- Applicants that haven’t received this scholarship benefits before (only for talent scholarship)
- Applicants that passed the personal interview with the committee (only for talent scholarship)
What degrees are offered in this scholarship?
The scholarships is provided for the undergraduate program at Qatar University (QU)
What are the scholarship benefits?
- Tuition fees cover
- Monthly allowance
- Accommodation in the student dormitory
- Transportation to or from campus
- Annual round trip airplane ticket
- Textbook fees cover
- Residence permit under the Qatar University sponsorship
- Guarantee to be accepted in the chosen study program (except for medicine and dental medicine) (only for the talent scholarship)
How long is the duration of the scholarship?
The scholarship will be given for the duration of the program as long as the scholarship awardee fulfill the conditions for continuity of scholarship.
How to apply?
- Visit the Qatar University official website and check the scholarships information webpage
- Read all of the information provided. Make sure that you are eligible to apply for both the scholarship and the chosen study program
- Start your application by visiting the online admission application
- Complete the scholarship application during the application period
- Upload the required documents before the end of application period (only for the applicants of talent scholarship)
- Send the required documents to Qatar University Admissions Department at Qatar before the closing date of application (only for the applicants of international students scholarship)

How does the process of selection go?
- Applicants will be assessed around 6-7 weeks after the deadline
- For the talent scholarship, applicants will be invited to attend interviews
- Students that are nominated to receive the scholarship will receive an initial conditional acceptance letter. Nominated applicants must met the conditions given and submit additional documents
- The scholarship decisions will be announced at 30 November 2023
When is the deadline for application?
The application for the Fall 2023 period will be closed on 18 October 2023.
